The Book of Genesis Talks of the relationship between fraternal twins Jacob and Esau, sons of Isaac and Rebekah, focusing on Esau’s loss of his birthright to Jacob And the battle which spanned between their descendant nations due to Jacob’s parting of the aged and blind father, Isaac, to be able to receive Esau’s birthright/blessing from Isaac.
This battle was paralleled by the attachment that the parents needed for Their favorite child:”Isaac, who had a preference for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.” Even considering conception, their conflict was foreshadowed:”And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I so? And then she went to enquire of the Lord. And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two types of people will be separated from thy bowels; and also the only people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.” (Genesis 25:22–2-3 )
Says that Esau was created earlier Jacob, who came out holding to his Elderly brothers heel as if he had been attempting to pull Esau back in to the womb Therefore he could be firstborn. The name Jacob means he grasps the heel which is a Hebrew idiom for deceptive behavior.
